Statement from Israel’s Ministry of Transportation:
In response to the demand of Israelis to return to Israel due to the current security situation, the Ministry of Transportation and the Airport Authority announce that operations at Ben Gurion Airport are proceeding as scheduled, following aviation authorities’ guidelines.
Transportation and Road Safety Minister, Brig. Gen. (Res.) Miri Regev: “I commend both Israeli and foreign airlines for their dedication to this effort. We are working around the clock to ensure that no Israeli remains stranded abroad.”
Airlines continue to have confidence in Israel’s ability to enable safe aviation activity at its international airport under any circumstances.
Throughout the day (Monday), Ben Gurion Airport is expecting 435 incoming and outgoing flights, carrying a total of 74,500 passengers. Today, Ben Gurion will host 222 international flights from the following destinations (partial list):
Greece: 29 incoming flights
Turkey: 29 incoming flights
Cyprus: 25 incoming flights
Italy: 13 incoming flights
USA: 11 incoming flights
United Arab Emirates: 11 incoming flights
Spain: 10 incoming flights
Germany: 9 incoming flights
France: 8 incoming flights
United Kingdom: 6 incoming flights.
The Airport Authority has announced that until further notice, all flights will depart from Terminal 3, and the operations at Terminal 1 have been moved to Terminal 3.
Additionally, Israeli airlines have stated they will reinforce their incoming flight schedules in response to the demand.
Due to the current situation, flight times may experience changes. It is recommended to stay updated on flight schedules through the Airport Authority’s website and with the respective airlines.
