The Ten Yad Auction, one of Jewish Brooklyn’s most prestigious annual events, is scheduled to take place this year on Sunday November 10th at the Razag Ballroom in Crown Heights. This year’s program promises to be more entertaining than ever before, with a wide range of interesting presenters and exciting prizes.
The highlight of the event will be the premiere of “Fast Forward,” an all new musical produced by Miriam Handler. The show, which blends theater, music and comedy in a satirical take on the inner world of shadchanim, will begin at 8:30 pm.
An extensive catalogue of auction prizes has been put together for this year’s event. Prizes include dazzling jewelry, all-expenses-paid travel, furniture, silver, electronics and the annual Ten Yad highlight – The Grand Split.
The proceeds raised at the annual Ten Yad Auction are vital to our operations throughout the year. We encourage the community to attend and support this important organization.
Ten Yad was launched over 30 years ago by a young group of girls looking to assist their friend in covering her wedding expenses. It has since grown into a large-scale charitable organization, helping needy brides cover the overwhelming costs of setting up a new home. All proceeds from the auction go toward providing the basic necessities for a Jewish home, to help with many details of the wedding, and to both maintain and upgrade its wedding gown gmach.
