While I really enjoyed the lecture overall, and agreed with most of the things, I disagree that buying flowers every Shabbos will “stoke” the fire. Actually, when you buy flowers every Shabbos, it becomes a routine, and eventually, your wife no longer looks at it as “romantic and caring”, but rather as a Shabbos routine. When you drive a car, you don’t hold on the gas the whole time, you only hit the gas to accelerate.
