Amid the ongoing challenges in the Holy Land, many families from the southern and northern regions have been forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in safer areas.
These displaced families have found shelter in various parts of the greater Tel Aviv area, including city hotels and private residences across different neighborhoods.
Stepping up to offer a warm and supportive embrace during these trying times are the Rebbe’s Shluchim, who have established an essential lifeline for these evacuee families.
At the helm of this effort is Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Gerlitzky, the Rebbe’s Shliach to Tel Aviv-Yafo. Under his guidance, an emergency food pantry has been set up to cater to the nutritional needs of the displaced families. Every day, dedicated volunteers prepare one thousand Kosher meals, which are then distributed to families hailing from cities like Ashkelon, Sderot, Ofakim, and Kiryat Shmona.
These meal packages go beyond sustenance; they also contain games for children and treats that bring smiles to the entire family.
Rabbi Gerlitzky underscores the significance of this meal distribution system, which has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the affected families. It’s not just about providing food; it’s about offering comfort and hope during a period of uncertainty and hardship.
