The Hecht and Berger families asked that people around the world continue to pray and say Tehillim for Shneur Chaim Yitzchak Alexander ben Nechama Dina, suffering from a severe infection.
Thousands around the world have rallied to pray for the 15 year-old whose vital systems began collapsing after an infection in his leg spread rapidly, while enjoying the summer at Yeshivas Kayitz in New Haven, CT.
Baruch Hashem, the doctors were able to save him and, through extensive surgery, they were able to locate the various infected areas and remove them, the family said.
Since then, a plea from Alexander’s family on COLlive.com has been shared around the world, with nearly 1,000 likes on Facebook, as thousands were touched by the plight of the young bochur.
Chabad camps worldwide have been doing good deeds in his merit for a speedy recovery. In Miami, Camp Gan Israel campers were urged to not only recite Tehillim, but get others to as well, with a raffle held as an incentive.
In Upstate New York, all campers at Camp Gan Israel of Parksville stopped what they were doing at 1:30 pm and recited Tehillim together. While in Camp Emunah for girls, run by the Hecht family, a special rally was held Friday afternoon.
Following another surgery on Friday at the New York University Hospital, a family member told COLlive that “the condition is stable, but he still needs our Tefillos.”
The family asked that everyone should please give extra Tzedaka and pray for Alexander’s complete and speedy recovery at candle lighting time tonight, Friday, which is an auspicious time for prayer.

B”H # 5 are you a Rebbe to connect his illness to events in CH ( where more good goes on than…). Not even a Blessing in your e mail, but a condemnation that he might not get well Chas v Sholom until Crown Heights is fixed.I write to break that connection that you make and he should merit a full and quick recovery in his own merit as well as those of his parents, gp etc.
