The London Beth Din encompasses many aspects of Jewish life in England’s capital, such as Dinei Torah (court cases), Gittin (divorces), Geirut (conversions), Shechita (Jewish slaughter), Kashrut, personal status, and all the trials and tribulations of major communal life.
The Executive Head Supervisor of its Kashrut Division for the last 15 years is Rabbi Hillel Simon and he is currently celebrating his 30th wedding anniversary. To honor the occasion, a Tanya was printed at the Beth Din.
Rabbi Simon is the Director of Rabbinic Ordination at Machon Mayim Chayim in England and presents a men’s Tanya class at Chabad House of Hendon every Wednesday evening.
Born in West Lafayette, Indiana, Rabbi Simon received ordination and kabbala for Shechita from Rabbi Yitzchok Yehuda Yaruslavski of Kiryat Malachi, and ordination for Rabbanut and Dayanut from Rabbi Yisroel Piekarski OBM of New York.
Rabbi Simon spent two years in advanced Rabbinic studies and outreach with Lubavitch of Leeds. He later served as Rabbi to the Bristol Hebrew Congregation and NJCB Chaplain to campuses in the west of England and Wales. He joined the Kashrut division while assisting the Hadley Wood and Saatchi communities and now resides with his family in Finchley.
The Tanya was printed by Reb Avrohom Weisz, and Mr. Colin Bharier, together with the help of the bochurim of the Yeshiva Ketana of London.

This is according to an Instagram post by Rabbi Simons very dynamic and talented wife who really deserves the most credit “A rather Rabbinic episode: to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary (deserves caps) I printed a Tanya at The London Beth Din in honour of my husband. He loved it!”
