CHYE:
Do you want to break into the fastest growing, highest paying industries? In today’s digital world, I.T., especially Cyber Security, is where it’s at.
This Tuesday, September 24, join a free informative evening exploring how to break into one of the most lucrative job paths in today’s job market.
CHYE in Partnership with JCC of Greater Coney Island invite you to hear from local community members how on how they broke into this industry and how you can do it to.
The event is free but RSVP required at chye.info
Anyone can succeed at any job they work at consistently, over time, but the question is: which job will give you the biggest return on your investment?
What non-I.T. job affords you comparable room to grow your pay as you spend more time in it, where, 5 to 10 years out, you are making $50 to $70 more per hour than you started off at? And, what’s more, I.T. jobs have a much higher pay cap than so many non-I.T. jobs. It is common for pro level I.T. jobs like Senior Network Engineer or Administrator or Developer to pay $100,000K+.
In addition to the high market cap and great growth potential, I.T. jobs are also portable; they can be done from anywhere, even from home. Additionally, unlike most other jobs which require comparatively costly investments in time and money and formal certifications, I.T. jobs usually cost a fraction of the time and money and don’t necessarily require any certification at all.
Another benefit of I.T. is that the field is so broad that many people can find their place in it despite their different personalities. More analytical people might prefer to develop applications; more creative people websites; hands-on typefolks operations; etc.
As businesses increase online presence the dependency on technology and need for I.T. people to support will only increase. This is especially true in the area of Cyber Security, with even top companies like Facebook and Twitter reporting security breaches and paying top dollar to better lock down their companies critical assets. In fact, many reports indicate that the demand in the area of information security exceeds their supply. There are simply not enough security folks to fill the many jobs opening up with the increase in hacking activities nationwide. Practically speaking, that presents a very lucrative opportunity for those looking to enter that exciting field.
Think you need to be some sort of genius or know a bunch of stuff to get in in this action? Think again. I.T./Cyber like any skill on this earth is learned, and is 100% achievable by anyone willing to work at it. But don’t take my word for it. Come to our event next week to meet people from our community who have done it already. They will all tell you that there is no magic to it. They all followed a well-trodden, repeatable path that they are happy to share with you.
So what are you waiting for? There’s nothing to it but to do it!
