On Thursday, Chai Elul a historic and emotional event took place at the Chabad Seminary of Austria, located in a majestic castle: the Tanya was printed there for the very first time.
The event was attended by the seminary students, faculty members, Austria’s Head Shliach Rabbi Jacob Biderman, the seminary directors Rabbi Zalman and Mrs. Blumi Raskin, as well as additional shluchim from Vienna who joined the special celebration.
The atmosphere was filled with inspiration and a sense of history, as the students became part of the Rebbe’s holy mission to “spread the wellsprings outward” by ensuring that Tanya is printed in every place around the world.
As is customary at Tanya printings, the participants studied from the freshly-printed pages, focusing on Chapter לב – the famous chapter on Ahavas Yisroel.
The event concluded with heartfelt hachlatos tovos, inspired by the teachings and legacy of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe, whose birthdays are celebrated on this very day.

Rabbi Yaakov Biderman is a first class Shliach.
