Many hundreds of people from across Australia attended the Levaya this Sunday morning in Sydney of Rabbi Mendel Feldman OBM, father of Rabbi Pinchus Feldman.
The funeral procession began 10:30am at the Chevra Kadisha in Woolahra, where the hall was packed to capacity and people had to stand outside.
As Minhag Chabad is for no Hesped to be made, the service consisted of the reading of traditional Levaya Tefilos and Tehilim, led by tens of Rabbis from across the Australian Rabbinate who were in attendance.
The procession continued with the Aron driven past the Yeshiva Centre in Bondi, Headquarters of Chabad in Sydney, which brings great Zchus to Rabbi Mendel Feldman as it was developed and continues to thrive as a Mokom Torah under the guidance of his son, Rabbi Pinchus Feldman. People were waiting outside there to escort the Aron. The procession then continued on to Rookwood Cemetery for the burial. He was buried next to his wife Rebbetzin Rochel Feldman OBM.
