On the fourth night of Chanukah, hundreds of menorahs will be lit in solidarity with terror victims, signifying “The light will prevail.” The project was conceived by the organization of Chabad Youth for Terror Victims in Israel. A representative from the families will be honored with lighting the candles.
Director of the organization, Rabbi Menachem Kutner says, “The holiday of Chanuka symbolizes light, which makes it the perfect time for the shluchim to accomplish their mission: to bring light to the hearts and homes of families that were affected by terror and have lost love ones.”
The program was organized following the Rebbe’s instructions to bring the light of the candles to every single Jew, especially to those who are suffering.
230 Chabad houses throughout Israel will take part in this special project, which will bring the joy of Chanukah to hundreds of terror victims and their families.
