An unidentified package found on Kingston Avenue briefly shut down the main thoroughfare of the Crown Heights neighborhood on Wednesday evening.
At about 7:45 PM on Wednesday, a passerby noticed an unidentified package and called the New York Police Department.
The street was immediately closed and the bomb squad arrived to investigate and inspect the package.
The police notified shortly afterward that the package was safe and the street was reopened to traffic about 20 minutes later.
Residents were relieved to hear that there was no danger posed and thanked the police for their swift response and care.

Was it meant to Scare people into thinking that there’s something inside?
Thank you NYPD! You keep our city street safe! But you will keep our city streets clean?! New York is starting to look like one big giant dumpster and it’s affecting peoples mental health and as you can see the crime rates are going up because people are living in a little apartment cages and walking dirty streets!
