Beautiful sprouts are budding this Sunday, February 5, 14 Shvat at 2 pm est. The GROW Connection Network, an outgrowth of Jewish Girls Unite, established in memory of Claire Kosden Perskie, will host a virtual Tu B’shvat Tea for women.
Participants will experience using the GROW Trust Planner, a JGU Press publication in development sponsored by David & Eda Schottenstein. “With trust in Hashem, we can celebrate our “fruits” in the cold winter. Profound Tu B’shvat lessons will be integrated into our practical lives through journaling and art, says founder & director, Nechama Laber.
World-renowned artists will share a piece of their creative process through the eyes of Tu B’shvat. Presenting artists will be Nechama Sarah Burgeman from Eretz Yisrael. She is an artist, musician, and author of The Twelve Dimensions of Israel, Israel and the Seventy Dimensions of the World, and most recently, The Princess of Dan.
Sarah Horwitz from Los Angeles, CA, was invited to become a faculty member in the BFA program at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she taught painting, drawing, and studio research seminars and was a panel member for graduate student critiques.
Shoshana Wolf from Los Angeles enjoys learning and teaching deep Torah concepts.
Sara Schwartz from Miami Florida is a passionate Jewish woman who embodies Torah concepts through art and dance.
Gabriella Shira from Los Angeles California loves painting and is currently working on a project about “Lecha Dodi”. Her mediums encompass video, sculpture, stop motion, and performance art.
GROW Mentor, Ahuva Coates from Chicago Illinois, is an artist, life coach, and writer who has a passion for soulful artistic expression and supporting others.
GROW Mentor, Karen Sarto of Dancefit in Los Angeles will lead a trust dance.
GROW Mentor, Shaindel Leanse from Los Angeles, Tu B’Shvat Tea coordinator, will be hosting an in-person GROW cafe in her home and will facilitate a Tu B’Shvat expressive art workshop online.
Women are invited to register for the virtual tea and receive a free gift, a pdf of the GROW Trust planner (based on chapters 1-3 of The Gate of Trust).
