A beautiful and joyous Tanya printing took place this week at the newly dedicated Chabad Center for Jewish Life in Champaign, Illinois, led by Shluchim Rabbi Dovid and Goldie Tiechtel.
The printing of the Tanya coincided with the kickoff of the Yeshivas Kayitz of Lubavitch Mesivta of Monsey, led by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Sender Lustig, which is taking place at the newly built, state of the art Chabad Center in Champaign.
Over 60 bochurim and staff have arrived in town this week, and have already begun learning daily in earnest, “transforming the city of Champaign into a true Makom Torah,” Rabbi Tiechtel said.
The bochurim are enjoying the new center’s beautiful facilities and amenities, as well as swimming and sports.
During the printing of the Tanya, the bochurim learned perek lamed beis with chavrusa learning. They then received some wine from the Rebbe’s kos shel bracha.
Joyous singing and dancing to live music broke out, as the great joy of the Tanya printing was celebrated.
“As the Rebbe said, when you print a Tanya, you bring down Kedusha into the place,” said Rabbi Tiechtel. “These bochurim are living this every day.”
The Tanya printing in Champaign is one of many being printed across the state of Illinois, following a resolution by many Shluchim on Yud Alef Nissan this year, for many Chabad Centers in Illinois to print Tanyas, under the leadership of Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois – Rabbi Meir Shimon Moscowitz and Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Moscowitz.
The Tanya project is being run by Hatomim Zelik Newman.

It’s amazing to see what type of summer program the Yeshiva is providing for the bochurim. They all look so happy, you can see that it took a lot of preparation to put this together.
Thank you to Rabbi Lustig and the hanhala for all your hard work and thank you to Rabbi Tiechtel for opening your Chabad house and hosting our sons for the summer!
