Heathrow Airport is Britain’s biggest airport, and one of the busiest international airports, serving millions of passengers each year.
In his quest to improve services for the community and make it convenient for people using Heathrow Airport, Rabbi Hershi Vogel, director to Chabad of West London, and Jewish chaplain to Heathrow Airport, arranged for the busy airport to have its own freestanding, properly built, sukkah.
In addition, there will be pop up sukkas available for those that will be in other terminals.
Rabbi Vogel said:
“I dont believe that any other Airport besides JFK and Ben Gurion has a solid sukkah and we are very grateful to Heathrow Airport and in particular the head of the chaplaincy, for facilitating this service for the worldwide Jewish community.”
