In honor of Hei Teves, the students of Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim in Montreal were treated to a beautiful exhibition of the seforim of our Rabbeim.
Each class got to walk through a tour of each “Heichal” of the Rabbeim. At each table they were introduced to the various Sha’arim that accompany each published sefer of the Rebbeim.
Samples of the seforim were displayed for the Talmidim to examine and various printings, including Kisvei Yad, were available for them to compare.
The tour, arranged and presented by Rabbi Shmuel Vaisfiche, was followed up by a contest to complete a special quiz to identify the Sha’ar Blatt belonging to each Rebbe and to list several seforim they authored.
In the words of one teacher: “It was beautiful. A great idea. It gave the kids an appreciation for the Seforim.. Seeing all the Seforim set out on the tables, and the amount of seforim too, it makes a big impression. The kids were comparing which seforim they have and I think it helped the kids develop an interest in buying seforim.
“It also takes it out of the big mix up of seforim they have at home when they see them separated the way it was done. It makes them realize that every Sefer has an author and appreciate the amount of Chassidus the Rabbeim wrote. It was a great idea. Thank you very much.”

Rabbi Vaisfiche and the YTT of Montreal are really putting a lot of effort in our children. Baruch Hashem! May the Yeshiva always be on a uphill!!!
Well done to rabbi Veisfish who puts so much effort into bringing chaassideshe yomim toivim to life for our childern. My son was so excited when telling me about all he saw.
Beautiful hands on way for children to see the imortance of sfeorim!
It’s so beautiful to see how the kids are enthralled by it. Such wonderful nachas
What a nice idea this is to teach boys about the value of sforim. Right here in Crown Heights is an amazing library of sforim in the home of the Shaffer family. Children in Crown Heights should take a tour of this house to see what a bayis moleh sforim literally looks like.
Way to go sholem! Great job ytt montreal. Another great job!
