Crown Heights is buzzing with activity on Wednesday, in preparation for a series of events to take place over the next few days.
Street closures are in effect due to the Mega Siyum HaRambam, which will take place tonight, and the grand Mitzvah Tank parade, which will head out on Thursday morning.
Cars are being towed from the closed off streets, and are being placed on nearby streets.
The Eastern Parkway service roads are closed off between Brooklyn and Albany Avenues as crews set up for the grand Siyum marking the 40th year of learning the daily Rambam, to take place in front of 770 Eastern Parkway.
President Street between Kingston and Brooklyn Avenues are closed off as well, as the Mitzvah Tanks, which will head out to celebrate the Rebbe’s birthday Yud Alef Nissan, are prepared.
On Thursday, Yud Nissan, the Mitzvah Tank will head out, passing 770 at 10:30 am. Seventy-four tanks for the seventy-four years of the Rebbe’s leadership, a testament to his enduring legacy.
