The Kohen Gadol (high priest) -who is commanded to maintain ritual sanctity even in the event of a close relative’s death- is commanded to disregard his supreme purity if he comes across a lifeless body that must be tended to.
We too, must be willing to pause even the greatest things in our life to help a fellow person. And if we encounter someone we can help, we must actually stop (even drop from a “high” level) and help. Doing so, is truly the highest high.
