A massive community-wide farbrengen will unite thousands of people in South Florida in honor of the Rebbe’s 120th birthday this year on Yud Alef Nissan.
The evening of music and inspiration organized by Chabad Lubavitch of South Florida will unite chasidim and shluchim who will come together in celebration of the Rebbe’s life and vision on Wednesday, 5 Nissan, April 6, 5782 at 7:30 PM.
The historic event will unite thousands to celebrate the momentous occasion marking 120 years since the Rebbe’s birthday.
The content-packed event will feature guest speaker, renowned orator Rabbi YY Jacobson and a musical program with singing stars Shulem Lemmer and Shlomo Simcha.
The event is highly anticipated by both members of anash and Shluchim alike.
“Yud Alef Nissan is a day that strikes a chord with every member of Anash, our father’s birthday,” said Rabbi Yisroel Spalter, Director of Chabad of Weston, Florida, who is one of the organizers of the event. “To get together with all the Rebbe’s children of South Florida to connect, to bond, and to honor our Rebbe in such magnitude is very unique. I look forward to this incredible evening of inspiration with much excitement.”
Ezzy Rappaport, a member of the Surfside Chabad community, expressed his excitement as well: “It’s been a while since anash of South Florida experienced a community-wide event like this, and all are excited for the opportunity to join together in honor of Yud-Aleph Nissan,” he said.
“This historic event will show the achdus among all Chassidim, as a special tribute to the Rebbe for Yud Alef Nissan,” said Rabbi Yosef Y. Biston, Director of Chabad Lubavitch of North Broward and South Palm Beach, Florida.
The event is planned to be the largest Chabad event in Florida to date, organizers told COLlive.com.
“The event will bring all the Rebbe’s Chasidim under one roof for an unprecedented evening of unity, inspiration and action,” said Rabbi Yoel Gancz, Director of Chabad West Palm Beach, Florida. “It is no doubt that our participation in this milestone, as one family, will bring tremendous Nachas Ruach to our dear Rebbe. The content-packed program will be long remembered by all.”
The celebration, which is open to both men and women, will take place at the City Center Pembroke Pines (601 City Center Way, Pembroke Pines). Tickets are $18 for general admission but free for all students.
