Chabad of South Broward, Florida’s 44th Annual Dinner at the Hollywood Design Complex Tuesday night was a great success. The venue was amazing and the beautiful Kumzitz with Eli Levin was greatly enjoyed by the hundreds in attendance. The Kumzitz went on for two hours!
Rabbi Moshe Schwartz related how the city of Hallandale Beach will allow the Phase 1 Expansion, which will make the Synagogue and especially the women’s section larger, the second floor will have offices and classrooms, that will enable the Preschool, the Camp, CTeen, the Friendship Circle, the Shtieblach and the Kollel D’Rav Pinchas Hirschprung have much more room to operate.
Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus announced that $3.5 million has already been committed toward Phase 1 of the expansion. The remaining $1.5 million will be raised through a building campaign, to be launched later this year. Rabbi Tennenhaus also announced that in the New Year, the third year of the Kollel, that runs from 5:30am to 1pm, stipends will be given to individuals who study four hours each weekday.
Once Phase 1 of Expansion is completed, Phase 2 will be planned and implemented as well, followed by Phases 3 & 4.
Honorees were Reb Yossi and Brocha Feiner, who received the Uforatzto Award, Rabbi Zev and Devorah Weinstein, recipients of the Ahavas Yisroel Award, Rabbi Chilik and Chani Weinfeld, who were honored with the Mashpiim/Mentors Award and Dr Chaim and Stephanie Zighelboim, who received the Rebbe’s Ambassadors Award.
MC was Rabbi Dayan Eli Phillips. The Rebbe’s letter to an earlier Dinner was read by Rabbi Mordy Feiner, the Rebbe’s Kapitel was recited by Rabbi Mendy Tennenhaus.
Dinner Co-Chairmen were Reb Ephraim Kaufman and Reb Meir Cohen.
Chabad of South Broward also announced that the 46th Annual South Florida Chassidic Chanukah Festival will take place on the eighth night of Chanukah, December 21, 2025, with a Star Studded Lineup of World Renowned International Jewish Singers.
All in all, the 44th Annual Dinner of Congregation Levi Yitzchok-Lubavitch/Chabad of South Broward Headquarters will long be remembered as a pivotal evening in the growth of South Broward Chabad and its large community.
