I remember the good old days

When there was individuality allowed – and miraculously many of us turned out just fine. Balabatish, chassidishe upstanding members of our community. Fathers of the next generation of chassidim – students of Tomchei Tmimim….and there was no ridiculous uniform of solid black shoes, button down shirts, etc starting in Pre-1A!! Clothes do not make a chossid. We went before the Rebbe, during rallies, dressed that way. If he had thought it wasn’t good enough, change would’ve been made back then.
Song is great, but Ocean Pkway should’ve been included.

I was there in the oldest class the first year. Rabbi T – great teacher. Tiny class. Every year we went to a fresh room. Only one pic of our class with Rabbi Lerman 5th grade. #LigyonvShel Melech Hamoshiach.
The days Rabbi Fogelman o”h. There was law and order in the hallways 🙂
Wow – memories.

Something is so beautiful about this song! My kids were singing it all week. It’s nice to hear it here.

I’m forever grateful to Rabbi Schwartz and Rabbi Katzen.
They’re the secret ingredient to the success of ULY…
I had a son in each of their classes. They know how to connect with children in such a special way that instills such a chayus in everything they teach!
Also thanks for the many years that this duo of tzaddikim ran the mesibas shabbos at 770. I remember the mesibas shabbos they ran in the small zal upstairs during the Rebbe’s farbrengens.

Rabbi Katzen pre1A , thank you All the way
