The Manalapan/Marlboro Semicha Program is pleased to announce a new program for the upcoming Zman 2014-2015.
After months of preparation and consideration for the rabbinical needs of our students, The Semicha Program is implementing and adding a series of new classes to their curriculum for the upcoming year, to include a variety of practical classes in Halacha that are relevant to shlichus today. In short, the Program prepares our graduates for the many responsibilities that our students will need in their future work as Rabbonim and Shluchim.
In addition to the traditional learning schedule of Yoreh Deah, the curriculum will include study of sections of Even H’aezer related to Chupa V’kidushin. Our students will have the opportunity to get “hands on” Shimush on preparing a kosher Kesubah and presiding over at an actual Chupa ceremony.
Rabbi Levi Schapiro, who leads the Smicha program for the past 16 years, is known for his vast knowledge and more importantly his unique ability to connect with each and every bochur.
The bochurim who join The Manalapan Smicha program also have the special opportunity to experience life on shlichus, as well as being integrated within the warm community of Manalapan/Marlboro, NJ.
Learning “one on one” or in groups with the bale batim, give the bochurim the experience that is essential to their overall growth. The exposure to serious learning with hands on experiences in Halacha, as well as community interaction, give the student a well rounded preparation for his future.
The program boasts alumni that are shluchim throughout the US (CA, FL, NC, NV, MS, AZ, MI, IL) as well as worldwide, in Russia, Australia, Canada, South Africa and Israel.).

Rabbi Schapiro is one of our hidden treasures. Fortunate are the bochurim that have the zchus to learn under his tutelage.
Excellent program and about to get better. R’ Schapiro is the best
I never understood, why in all the smicha program around, they dont prepare the bochurim for shiduchim and etc.
with the girls in the seminary they prepare them for that….
is it so hard?
there are so many bochurim lost with these subjects.
Rabbi Levi Schapiro is a treasure unmatched!
