Students of JETS (Jewish Educational Trade School) in Los Angeles spent this past Shabbos at Chabad of Fresno in California, hosted by Shluchim Rabbi Levy and Chanie Zirkind.
The next day, on Gimmel Tammuz, the yeshiva hiked up Half Dome Rock in Yosemite National Park where they held a Siyum Harambam.
It was one of the many ceremonies held around the world to mark the completion of the annual learning cycle of the Rambam’s Mishneh Torah. Only in this case, it was done at 8846 feet.
Many of the bochurim made hachlatos – resolutions to put extra effort into learning Rambam daily, in honor of the Rebbe.
The inspiring siyum was made by Rabbi Mordy Seewald.
