A Siyum Mesechte was held on Shabbos at Congregation Levi Yitzchok-Lubavitch/Chabad of South Broward Headquarters in Hallandale Beach, Florida, in memory of Tzvi and Itty Ainsworth obm.
This will continue every day in Hallandale Beach L’ilui Nishmos Tzvi and Itty, in between Mincha-Maariv, as per the Rebbe’s instructions for the Nine Days and continuing through 15 Av.
The siyum is held in memory of the beloved couple who lived in the Champlain Towers in Surfside, and were killed in the terrible collapse.
In recent years, the Ainsworth couple moved to South Florida to be closer to their children and grandchildren, as well as many members of the extended Fellig family.
Though modest and reserved, the Ainsworths are noted for their hospitality and devotion towards helping those in need in their quiet and unassuming manner.
Tzvi and Itty lived for three years in Hallandale Beach, and he Davened at Congregation Levi Yitzchok-Lubavitch/Chabad of South Broward.
“Tzvi was much liked by all the Baalei Batim,” said his brother-in-law, Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus, Rabbi of Chabad of South Broward. Itty was the principal in the mid-1980’s of the Hollywood branch of Free Hebrew for Juniors.
On Shabbos, in addition to the Siyum, the Baalei Batim pledged to write a new Sefer Torah honoring Tzvi and Itty.
