Singer Returns With an Electro-Swing New Song

It has been almost sixteen years since singer Yacov Young released his last album, and he’s ready for a comeback.

Young, originally from Toronto, Ontario, debuted as one of the star singers of the Neginah Orchestra, performing with the biggest names in Jewish music. A current resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he continues to perform at concerts, Simchas and events worldwide.

For his long-awaited return, Young has released a new song titled “Veshinantam,” which stands out with its electro-swing style of the Roaring ’20s in America.

The song was composed and written by renowned hitmaker Elie Schwab, the sound of “Veshinantam” is unique to the Jewish music industry. “I needed something special,” said Young. “I wanted something that spoke to me and would stand out from everything else out there.”

It was produced by Young together with producer Izzy D Jay (Izzy Drihem).

“It is a song that will get stuck in your head and is sure to have you moving and grooving to its funky beat,” says Young, who is said to be working on new musical projects.

He released the song in honor of the joyous month of Adar and in merit of his son Yosef Yitzchok Halevi ben Miriam Devorah, who is recovering from a serious car accident in recent days, as well as Shneur Zalman Hakohen ben Elisheva.
