Straight off his summer Victory Tour, where he performed close to 30 shows for communities and campuses across North America, Shlomo Gleyzer is excited to announce his latest release, Witnesses.
This two-track EP, recorded in honor of the Rebbe’s 30th Yahrzeit, speaks about our active role in making this world Hashem’s world – creating a ‘dira betachtonim.’
This release is based on a theme explored in the Rebbe’s Reshimos and elaborated on in Likkutei Sichos: we are not just passive testimonial witnesses “edei birur” like heaven and earth, who testify that this is Hashem’s world. Instead, we are “eidei poel” active witnesses who take part in transforming the world into Hashem’s world.
Just like witnesses at a wedding do not only testify to the event but actively validate and consecrate it, we, too, have an essential, participatory role in making this world a home for Hashem. The first part of “Witnesses” opens with a reflective, introspective track that captures the profound responsibility we hold as Hashem’s witnesses. The second track, by contrast, is an upbeat song celebrating our privilege and pride of being Hashem’s witnesses. Together, these tracks create an inspiring and uplifting experience, encouraging listeners to embrace their unique roles in this divine mission.

Hearing Shlomo sing, his vocals and rhythm are great, even better than that are his toichendik and well-composed lyrics. What tops that is his gentle and humble demeanor, it’s clear he’s an oived that really lives to serve Hashem and grow in Yiddishkeit and hafotzas hamaayanos.
