In the wake of the horrific terror attack by Hamas on Simchas Torah, an evening was held to bolster the spirits of the dedicated Zaka volunteers working tirelessly to retrieve the bodies of the victims.
The Zaka organization is renowned for its remarkable dedication to aiding victims in times of crisis. Comprising volunteers from all walks of life, Zaka members are trained to handle emergency situations and respond swiftly to disasters. Their work extends beyond the call of duty, encompassing a wide range of disaster relief and recovery efforts. Their commitment to retrieving the bodies of victims and ensuring that Jewish burial traditions are upheld is both commendable and heartwarming.
Recognizing the tireless efforts of the Zaka volunteers, R’ Mendy Haviv, a regional director of Zaka, took it upon himself to organize a special evening in their honor, and to give them strength and inspiration as they deal with unimaginable horrors.
The evening was further enriched by the soul-stirring performance of Chanan Ben Ari, a renowned singer. Through his heartfelt popular songs he provided comfort to those who had endured such a traumatic experience and have devoted their lives to the care of their fellow Jews.
