R’ Moshe Gottlieb, a beloved father and grandfather from Crown Heights and more recently from Hillside, NJ, passed away on Tuesday night, 17 Cheshvan, 5784.
He was 59.
R’ Moshe was originally from Yerushalayim, and after his marriage to Michal (nee Zigelbaum) they settled in Crown Heights, where they lived for 30 years.
R’ Moshe was known as someone who was always happy, known for his great sense of humor and positive attitude.
A year ago they moved to Hillside, NJ.
He is survived by his wife, Michal and children, Shiffy Goldstein – Hallandale Beach, FL, Shneur Gottlib – Crown Heights, Riki Gottlib – Crown Heights, Dini Shechter – Kingston, PA, Sari Gottlib – Hillside, NJ and Mendy Gottlib – Hillside, NJ.
He is also survived by his siblings, Meir Gottlib – Flatbush, Lieba Shtissel – Ashdod, Israel, Chaim Gottlib – Beitar, Israel, Shimon Gottlib – Crown Heights, Velvel Gottlib – Jerusalem, Israel, Sholom Gottlib – Nikolayiv, Ukraine, Leah Rabinowitz – Beitar, Israel, Chanie Donin – Migdal Ha’emek, Israel, and Esti Scheiner – Beitar, Israel.
The Levaya will take place on Thursday, leaving Shomrei Hadas at 11am and passing by 770 at 12pm.
Burial in Montefiore Cemetery at 1pm.
Shiva will take place at 237 Marine Terrace, Hillside, NJ 07205.
The family would appreciate visitors from 8am-2pm, 4pm-8pm
No visitors please from 2-4pm

I was in Newark with 30 boys going to a summer program overseas. Unfortunately the flight was canceled, and the boys had to return home not knowing when the next flight would be available. Then I get a call from the Gottlieb family saying anyone that doesn’t have a place to stay can stay by us. Giving over their house making sure we were fed and showered.
