A month before the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian War, Chassidic singer Simche Friedman visited the holy Tziyun gravesite of Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi – the Alter Rebbe in the town of Haditch.
He saw that on the Parochet located in the synagogue near the Tziyun was embroidered the saying that was commonly said by the Alter Rebbe: “I want nothing, neither your Oilam Habah or your Gan Eden. I only want You Yourself!” – “Dich Alein”!
Simche adapted these sacred words to the ‘Chabad Devekut Nigun for Shabbat Prayers’, which is also attributed to the Alter Rebbe.
In honor of 24 Teves, Yom HaHilula of the Alter Rebbe, he presents this Chasidic Niggun, which was composed at the Holy Tziyun in Hadich.
