The K-Factor With Shmuly Wolff

The K-Factor podcast: Shmuly Wolff was frustrated with ordering kosher food, so he set out to create an app that became a business.

The K-Factor podcast is produced by CHYE - Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs in partnership with community news website COLlive.com.

The K-Factor offers business wisdom that can help future business leaders to make the "Keli" (the Hebrew word for vessel) so they can grow their business aspirations.

Episode #19: "The making of an App"

Feeling frustrated by the difficulty of phone orders from local Kosher restaurants, and the lack of reliability on the kashrus of the non-kosher ordering apps, Shmuly set out to create a seamless ordering experience by building an app from the ground up.

With nothing more than grit and creativity, JMenu has been making its way into the lives of kosher consumers throughout the Tri-State area and soon beyond, quickly becoming the go-to place to order kosher takeout and delivery from local kosher restaurants.

In this interview:

* Turning your frustration into a business
* Building an App
* Finding new startup funding
* Brand awareness marketing vs Customer education marketing
