“Blessings in the Quiet” is the title of a new short film about Rabbi Yehuda Refson OBM, the Dayan and senior rabbinical figure of the Jewish community of Leeds, England.
The 18 minute film, presented on Thursday during the virtual evening marking his first yartzeit, tells the story of a Shliach of the Rebbe who in his distinctly modest way touched the lives of countless individuals.
Spanning the length of his upbringing in Sunderland until his last days running his beloved Menorah School, the film explores the indelible mark Dayan Refson left on the Jewish community in Leeds.
The film was commissioned by the Refson family and produced by Bentzi Avtzon of Yuvla Media.

Such a special man! Beautiful film.
expressed an iota of who he truly was
May his legacy be an inspiration to all his family, all those who he inspired and knew him and all those who will hear of his Middos Tovos and Yiras Shomayim as a true Chosid and Shliach of the Rebbe.
This is so very beautiful to watch. Didn’t know him in his lifetime but this film shows a very gentle, true chossid. May he have a lichtige gan eden, and may his family be comforted. Thank you for sharing.
