A group of rowdy teens injured 3 Shomrim volunteers in Crown Heights Thursday evening after they received a call asking for assistance from 2 Jewish girls.
The girls called Shomrim to ask for help after being frightened by the teens on E. New York and Troy Avenue at about 9:00 pm.
When Shomrim volunteers arrived, the teens began throwing eggs at them, resulting in three injuries.
Shomrim was able to apprehend one perp at the scene and when police arrived an additional two were taken into custody.
All three perps apprehended are 16 and juveniles. One will be charged with assault felony and the other two with misdemeanors. All three were released to their parents.
Last year same night at the same corner i gave chase to around 15 black teenagers who were chasing a bar mitzvah age boy. Who tried to stand up to them because they were bothering 2 girls. I happened to drive by and then called for back up. Just keep your eyes open. Besides for looking on the road…. Drive a little slower…. While waiting by a red light.. look around… You might be able to help out someone. ..
