Crown Heights Shmira hosted an appreciation event for its members in honor and in remembrance of its late dedicated coordinator, Leib Skoblo OBM.
A special tribute video showcasing the special personality of Leib Skoblo was shown. Close friends and fellow members addressed the crowd, detailing his biography and major accomplishments and goals within the organization.
A brand new patrol car that was dedicated in his memory was introduced at the event with his family in attendance.
Leib was the life force behind the organization for close to 30 years. Being an exceptional dedicated leader, he helped grow the organization into what it is today with an only goal of making the neighborhood a safe place. He was active and involved till his last day without any fame or awards and accomplished so much during his lifetime. His valuable role cannot be replaced but his vision and legacy needs to continue to live on.
The event also served as an appreciation event for the volunteers who are dedicated to keeping the Crown Heights community safe, 24 hours a day.
