Yeshivas Achei Temimim, of Crown Heights, offers a unique Smicha program that challenges its students to excel, while simultaneously catering to the individual learning needs of each student, no matter their academic level.
Recently, the students of the yeshiva were put to the test as they sat for their Smicha exam in Hilchos Taaruvos, a comprehensive study of the laws of kashrus. The tests were conducted by Rabbi Yossi Barber, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Hashluchim Manhattan and Director of the Semicha Department of Lemaan Yilmedu. The bochurim of Achei Temimim, who study Smicha over 2 years, spent many months acquiring the knowledge, learning its application, and reviewing, in order to be eligible to partake in the final Farher.
Rabbi Shmuel Kesselman, who heads the Smicha department at Achei Tmimim, commented on the successful outcome of the exams, saying, “The Smicha Program in Achei Tmimim has been growing and developing over the years, and Boruch Hashem we have seen students progressing, and the results speak for themselves. This year especially, we challenged the bochurim even further, and they have risen to the occasion and performed wonderfully.”
Rabbi Shloimy Ceitlin, Maggid Shiur and Meishiv for Smicha in Achei Temimim also joined in acknowledging the Bochurim’s accomplishments and crediting their success.
Achei Temimim takes pride in its unique approach to education, recognizing that every student has a different learning style, and it is the Hanholah’s task to connect with each student in a way that enables them to thrive in the yeshiva environment. As Rabbi Levi Tzukernik, Menahel of the Yeshiva, said, “Bochurim come to Achei Tmimim filled with love, life, and potential, and it’s our job to help each and every one of them realize their potential and offer all the necessary resources to help them become the best version of themselves.”
Applications for the upcoming academic year are currently open.
