Uri Raanan, 71, ex-husband and father of the recently freed hostages from Gaza Judith and Natalie Raanan, was visited by local Shluchim who celebrated the joyous news with him with Tefillin and L’chaims.
Shliach in Chicago Rabbi Chaim Schanowitz visited the home of Judith Raanan’s ex-husband on Friday and affixed a mezuzah to the door of Natalie’s room. Her father put on tefillin with excitement, said “L’chaim,” and wished that all the captives will also return to their families soon.
Raanan said he spoke with his daughter after her release: “I am in tears and feel very good. I spoke with my daughter on the phone; she feels good and looks good,” he said.
He said his daughter will celebrate her 18th birthday at her home in the US.
