Due to the late dates of this year’s Kinus Hashluchim, there’s only a few short weeks between the upcoming gala event and the opening of the camp’s doors. So it’s no surprise that The Shluchim Office is already finalizing this year’s head staff picks.
The Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp is the annual getaway and meet-up for Shluchim kids ages 7-13, held every December. This is their fourth year on the expansive Lake Worth, Florida campgrounds.
The true highlight of the camp is always the peers and the environment, where young Shluchim come together from all parts of the world to soak in a year’s worth of inspiration. When the camp falls out during Chanukah as it does this year, not only do the campers get to enjoy Chanukah parties, but they also participate in local Florida Chabad parades and events. All in all, the ten-day vacation sends them home with a deeper understanding of their mission.
The Shluchim Office offers a highly subsidized cost for the camp fees (and sometimes even additional scholarships) but the high cost of an air ticket is often a challenge for Shluchim whose children would like to join in the fun. Last year the Young Shluchim Camp began a new kind of fundraising, #MilesForSmiles, and that’s where you come in.
You can help us fly these young Shluchim out by donating just 12,500 miles for a one-way ticket, 25,000 for the round-trip, or more. Your generosity will help us provide them with the inspiration and uplifting experience that they so deserve. Donate at Shluchim.org/DonateMiles!
This is also the second year where the Young Shluchim Camp will be hosting Class Reunions for students attending the Nigri International Shluchim Online School. Each year, students in grades 4, 5 and 6 receive a special scholarship to ensure they all have the opportunity to join their fellow students in person for ten days of special activities.
The Boys Camp will take place from 18-27 Kislev (December 18-27) and the Girls Camp will take place from 27 Kislev to 7 Teves (December 27 to Jan 5).

The Young Shluchim Camp was founded in 5755, the year following Gimmel Tammuz, to provide the children of Shluchim with a new avenue to connect to the Rebbe. This year marks their twenty-third year of operation, nineteen of which was based in Oracle, Arizona before the recent relocation to Lake Worth, Florida after the joint purchase of a campsite together with Rabbi Yossi Biston and Rabbi Sholom D. Lipskar.
The Young Shluchim Camp is a department of Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim, a division of The Shluchim Office. Rabbi Don Yoel Levy, of OK Kosher Certification, is the main sponsor of this worthy cause.
