An overflow crowd of over 500 gathered for a Melava Malka event marking the Shloshim – 30 days since the passing of Paris Head Shliach Rabbi Mule Azimov, OBM.
The legendary and revered Head Shliach, who spearheaded the unprecedented “French Lubavitch revolution,” bringing thousands of Jews closer to their heritage and establishing over 70 Chabad institutions, passed away last month at the age of 69, leaving a shocked and grieving community.
Speakers at the event included Rabbi Binyomin Mergui and Rabbi Shmuel Lubetzky. Rabbi Azimov’s son Rabbi Mendel Azimov told two stories about his father’s work leading the Paris Jewish community.
After the formal event, the crowd remained for Chassidic farbrengen with Rabbi Hirschel Raskin, Mashpia in Yeshiva Ketana of Montreal, who farbrenged until the wee hours of the morning.
In keeping with the Rebbe’s directive to print Torah books in memory of those who have passed on, members of the community organized a special printing of the Rebbe’s sefer Toras Menachem – Chelek 29 and 30 in memory of Rabbi Azimov and his wife Basya OBM.
Included in the book are the names of all the community members and their families who took part in the printing.
Did you all notice that the Azimov’s make EMESE CHASIDIM!!!!
I am so overwhelmed thinking of how much Kochas was put into all these people!
Please print some of the stories that Mendel Azimov told about his parents.
Rav Mule was such a bitteldeke Chosid that whatever the Rebbe said was done immediately: no fanfare and no questions asked.
Just count the names and you will see how they made people Mekushar to theRebbe
What you see here is absolutely incredible!
Your first reaction is – another event for Anash, where are the Mekurovim? Then you realize that this was the unbelievable and unparalleled work of the Azimovs that these people you see who look and dress as Anash are all Mekurovim!!!! The Azimovs were able to do what virtually no one else could do – take hundreds, thousands of Yiden and guide them back to Torah etc. and make them into Chasidim – Anash!!!!! Amazing!!!!
there must!!! be a book about the work of reb mulle. so that all shluchim and chsidim can learn from him
