It began with a powerful Shabbaton in Napanoch, NY, where the entire Yeshiva joined together for an uplifting Shabbos of Achdus. The spirited farbrengens, seudos, and a uniquely warm atmosphere left a deep impression on every participant. The Shabbaton was followed by a special trip on Sunday.
The next days were filled with learning tests and class Farbrengens in honor of Chof Ches Sivan and the end of the year.
On Wednesday morning, the Shiur Daled Bochurim traveled together with the Menahel, Rabbi Shlomo Sternberg, to the Rebbe’s Ohel. There, Rabbi Sternberg brought the Rebbe a list of Bochurim who were chosen to go out on the Rebbe’s Shlichus to Yeshivos around the world. It was an emotional and uplifting visit to receive their Shlichus appointments at the Rebbe’s Ohel and draw strength for the mission ahead.
The momentum continued into the highly anticipated end-of-year banquet — a beautiful celebration of the Bochurim’s achievements, growth, and gratitude.
During the banquet, the students expressed heartfelt thanks for all they received throughout the year and marveled at the dedication of the staff — unparalleled to anything they had experienced elsewhere. The staff, in turn, reflected on the extraordinary progress and maturity they witnessed in each Bochur, and how the Yeshiva itself continues to flourish — both in quantity and in quality — year after year.
Every student received a meaningful gift, while special presents were distributed to the staff, Shluchim, and Kollel members in appreciation for their dedication.
The event also included a Siyum on Maseches Kesubos by Schneur Gutnik, with awards of up to $1,100 and certificates granted to those who completed the entire Masechta and excelled on all the tests. Certificates of Semicha in Hilchos Shabbos were also awarded to Bochurim who passed their tests under the guidance of Rabbi Yaroslavsky of Elad.
In addition, nine Bochurim who consistently maintained strong Shmiras HaSedorim throughout the year were each gifted a dollar or coin from the Rebbe — a tangible connection and token of appreciation.
At the banquet, the names and locations of the new Talmidei HaShluchim were officially announced. The room erupted in joyous dancing as the entire Yeshiva celebrated together with the newly appointed Shluchim, marking a proud and uplifting moment for all.
One of the most moving highlights of the evening was the Siyum HaShas — Bavli and Yerushalmi — made by the Yeshiva’s Mashgiach, Rabbi Avrohomi Pevsner. Remarkably, this marked the second time he completed Shas, the first being years ago as a Shiur Daled Bochur in Chovevei Torah.
The powerful moment left a deep impression on the Bochurim, and five students were inspired by the Siyum to take upon themselves the goal of completing the entire Shas during their remaining years in Yeshiva.
As the year drew to a close, the Yeshiva staff encouraged the Bochurim to use their summer months wisely and to carry the inspiration of the year into every area of their lives.
