For the first time, a comprehensive biography of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, the Sixth Rebbe of Chabad, will be published by Koren/Maggid this November. Titled Undaunted, the book chronicles the Rebbe’s extraordinary life, from his early years through his final decade in New York.
Author Rabbi David Eliezrie has announced an international book tour beginning in November. “We have already received invitations from Shluchim worldwide to visit their communities,” Rabbi Eliezrie shared.
Drawing on extensive research and newly uncovered archival material, Undaunted explores the Rebbe’s courage in confronting antisemitism under the Czarist regime, his pivotal role in saving Russian Jewry, his introduction of Chabad Chassidus to Western Europe, and his visionary reimagining of American Judaism. Rabbi Eliezrie traveled to Russia and Latvia to visit key sites from the Rebbe’s life, further enriching the narrative. The book also delves into the profound relationship between the Friedeke Rebbe and his successor the Rebbe.
