What a wonderful day we had preparing and experiencing Rosh Chodesh Kislev at Cheder Chabad Girls of Long Island!
CGGLI parent, Rabbi Zalman Wolowik, shliach of Chabad of the Five Towns, came to share his memories of what happened on that special Rosh Chodesh day many years ago. It was inspiring and insightful. The students continued celebrating this festive day with a special Rosh Chodesh Kislev video followed by dancing, a raffle, a delicious dessert and bentching.
The students enjoyed a delicious lunch seuda sponsored by Kol Save Supermarket.
The pre1a did a beautiful project in honor of Rosh Chodesh Kislev that speaks of their connection to the Rebbe. Our class presidents of the month, who have shown a tremendous growth mindset over the past few weeks, were honored by helping to choose the color scheme and choice of lunch for today’s seuda. We thank them for their help and love and pride in their work and in their school.
The students had a joyous, memorable day coming home signing the special Rosh Chodesh Kislev niggun.

BH Zalman Wolowik is a model for shluchim of what a chasidisher yungerman is. We saw how he sat so humbly at the kinus last week as the US ambassador to Israel gets up and tells the world two things: limud haTorah and going to the Ohel. Where did he get this chinuch from? From Zalman.
He is my rabbi and someone who I always look up to
