The morning of beis Cheshvan was chilly and rainy in Toronto, yet 18 men came at the early hour of 6:20 am to learn תרסו, the Maamar “Hachodesh Hazeh,” at a Shiur given by the esteemed Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Akiva Wagner.
This year marks the 100th year of the Yartzeit of the Rebbe Rashab, and to commemorate the auspicious date, Rabbi Yirmi Cohen organized a special Shiur.
“After a long summer and Tishrei ‘break,’ as we are entering the 100th year of the Yahrtzeit of the Rebbe Rashab, I thought we should learn something from Rebbe Rashab for this historic period,” Rabbi Cohen said.
“We are grateful to Rabbi Wagner for taking time out of his very busy schedule with a full Yeshiva, but when I told him that many are thirsty to learn Chassidus, he could not refuse.”
Rabbi Cohen has partnered with Reb Mordy Schachter to ensure there is a Chassidus Shiur every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:20 am at 770 Chabad Gate, in Thornhill, Ontario.

Thank you Rabbi Cohen for your hard work in organizing this wonderful Shiur.
It is much enjoyed & very appreciated!
Also for the beautiful sparks of chasidus that you give over so eluqently at Bayt after shachris
