I was at Chevra Ahavas Yisroel for the classes… Simon Jacobson was amazing, and Chaim Miller was brilliant! Literally. Thank G-d for the shul….
noone said no not to say tikkun – even the sign says “in between saying Tikkun” so stop bashing every new initiative – especially when theyre good ones!!
Absolutely correct!!!
The Shiurim effort is great and commendable, but not on this night!
minhag chabad to say tikun leil sehvuos, davaka to say it – from the biggest talmid chacham to the most simple Jew – we all say the same words of the tikkun..
minhag non chabad to sit to learn torah.
Kalmenson, I am your fan.
I can’t be thankful enough for Chevra Ahavas Yisroel.. Before they opened, my davening was not something to be proud of.. Now I can’t wait to get to shul where people are actually davening and not talking. And everyone is warm to each other. Tonight’s classes with Simon etc is just the cherry on top
Chaim miller!!!!!! May hashem bless u.
It should be known that all Shvous lectures started with the Besht last year, Shua Wedy is a visionary, and Kalminson and Clapman have the guts to pull these things off.
Who’s complianing that people won’t say Tikun ” that’s crazy” cause instead of people sitting around doing nothing they will at least here Torah study.
Rumor has it that Sruly Clapman arranged the entire event.
I can’t wait to hear SImon Jacobson tonight. Love his classes!
The point is to stay up learning. If people are able to say tikkun, then great! If people are able to learn via a calss as their method of Torah study, that is good as well..
Isnt the Minhag in Chabad to say the Tikun (reading words of Torah, at a level where we’re all united) rather than spend the night studying?
Thanks COL for posting the info! Will be attending CAY!
