At the central celebration of Chag HaGeulah Yud Tes Kislev, organized by Tzeirei Agudas Chabad in Kfar Chabad, a highlight moment took place when IDF Spokesperson Brigadier General Daniel Hagari and Northern Corps Commander Major General David Zini took from their intensive wartime schedule to participate in the event.
The distinguished guests were welcomed by Rabbi Eliyahu Gutman of Ezer L’Chayal organization, who hosted them at this special occasion. In his moving address, the IDF Spokesperson conveyed greetings from the IDF Chief of Staff, military leadership, commanders, and forces in the field, expressing deep appreciation for Chabad’s activities: “We thank Chabad for their daily mesirus nefesh throughout the year, both spiritually and physically. You create unity among our people, in Israel and worldwide, in every community protecting our nation and maintaining Am Yisrael’s unity.”
Concluding his remarks, Brigadier General Hagari connected the event to the approaching days of Chanukah: “Just before Chanukah, what stands before my eyes is that a little light dispels much darkness. Let our enemies know that we are strong and united – only thus will we ensure security and only thus will we achieve victory.”
