The Kingsbrook Medical Center, which serves the Crown Heights neighborhood, honored Rabbi Shimon Herz on Thursday.
Herz serves as the Director of the Shalom Senior Center, part of the Medical Center, for the past 13 years.
The breakfast took place in the hospital’s recently refurbished shul. In attendance were hospital CEO Linda Brady and Henna White – Chairperson of the Kingsbrook Medical Center board of trustees. The celebration was attended by many physicians, nurses, political dignitaries, police brass and members of the Crown Heights and East Flatbush Community.
In his remarks, Rabbi Herz expressed his deep gratitude to the medical center for their continuous care of the seniors who require hospitalization or rehab.
Special thanks were given to Rabbi Michoel Chazan of the Hospital Chaplaincy services for all his dedicated work for the spiritual welfare of the patients in the hospital.
Rabbi Goldstein, who runs the Hospital’s Community Center honored CEO Linda Brady with an award which was presented by his three young daughters. CEO Brady was moved to tears by this very moving award.
