U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham passionately criticized the Biden administration’s decision to halt a shipment of crucial weapons to Israel in its war against the Hamas terror regime in Gaza on Wednesday.
The Republican of South Carolina grilled Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair General Charles Q. Brown Jr. and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin at a Senate Appropriations subcommittee hearing about the fiscal year 2025 budget request.
“If we stop weapons necessary to destroy the enemies of the State of Israel at a time of great peril, we will pay a price,” said Graham. “This is obscene. It is absurd. Give Israel what they need to fight the war they can’t afford to lose.”
A shipment of thousands of weapons to Israel was held back last week over President Joe Biden’s opposition to an Israeli military operation in the Gazan city of Rafah, one of the last strongholds of Hamas.
“Israel’s been hit in the last few weeks by Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas, dedicated to their destruction. And you’re telling me you’re going to tell them how to fight the war, and what they can and can’t use when everybody around them wants to kill all the Jews?” Graham said.

Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman, who is Jewish and a donor to campaign of Democrats, wrote the following:
By withholding weapons from @Israel in the midst of its hostage negotiations with Hamas, @POTUS Biden sent a clear signal to Hamas that the administration was tipping the scale in the negotiations in Hamas’ favor. This took pressure off Hamas, leading it to reduce its offer to Israel, ultimately killing the deal.
Now why would Biden abandon an important ally while it was negotiating the return of hostages including five or more Americans?
The answer of course is political. Biden is at risk of losing the Muslim vote in Michigan and other key states, and he is leveraging Israel to advance himself with these constituents.
In other words, Biden is attempting to garner votes by impairing an ally’s ability to defeat a terrorist group that seeks the total destruction of Israel and the Jewish people.
I don’t know how anyone that cares about Israel or the Jewish people could vote for Biden due to his actions here.
Even if you don’t care about Jews or Israel, think about the damage this does to our relationships with allies around the world. Biden has made eminently clear that he is prepared to impair one of our key allies’ ability to fight an enemy in order to win more votes at home.
A president who cared about his reputation and that of our country would never behave this way. I can therefore only conclude that these disastrous policy decisions are made by others in the administration as the president no longer has the capability or judgment to make them himself.
Do we really want four more years of this?
Stop voting democrat already.
When our people will wake up and realize that dems are evil .
The fact is that an invasion of Rafah would kill thousands of innocent people, and would not result in any major gains for Israel. Only a negotiated peace will solve Israel’s long-term security needs, and viability.
In other words, Hamas is not an existential threat to Israel, the refusal of far-right politicians to negotiate peace is the primary existential threat.
With blessings of safety and security for all.
The Palestinians are not innocent; they voted in Hamas and participated and/or rejoiced in 7th October Hamas have vowed to repeat 7th October and need to be eliminated for the safety of every Israeli You can’t negotiate with people who are taught to hate you from birth and who have sworn to kill you; they are completely uninterested in peace Hamas can’t even be negotiated with to release hostages The only language the Palestinians understand is violence Hamas don’t value the lives of their people; but we do value the lives of our hostages and need to get them back.… Read more »
The Rebbe clearly told them time and again that negotiations will not work.
Additionally, have you really assessed this situation to be able to make such a statement or is your opinion based on the things you are hearing from the media (that we know isn’t emes)??
Have you done a serious assessment of the situation, or is you opinion based on someone else’s 40 year old opinion?
…that you think that Torah is out of date. On the contrary, it’s ideas like those of the top comment in this thread that are based on long since discredited ideas.
The whole world is at risk, and will pay if Israel does not wipe out Hamas – including the USA.
