As a preparation for Yud Tes Kislev students of Seminary Chaya Mushka in Tzfat, Israel learned 43 Perakim of Tanya.
For three weeks they were tested on a portion of the Tanya, all achieving outstanding results. On the night of Yud Tes Kislev the 11 girls with the highest marks participated in a Tanya Chidon, answering questions on general knowlege about Tanya, context and chapter, and illustrations and riddles.
Participants were Rivka New, Chaya Mushka Turner, Chaya Cohen, Chana David, Rivky Felberman, Rochel Nagel, Esty Cohen Shira Greenberg, Shoshana Leuchter, Mussie Kreiman and Sari Flint.
The girls were tested by Rabbi Yosef Rosenfeld, Menahel of Seminary Chaya Mushka and Rabbi Chaim Zilber.
Winner of the Chidon was Sari Flint and the two runners up were Mussie Kreiman and Rachel Nagel.
The winner and runners up received a set of the Rebbe’s letters in English and each Chidon contestant received a Vedibarta Bam on Kedushin. In addition to this, each student received a Gutnick Hagadah presented by the Menahalet, Mrs. Rochel Leah Rosenfeld.
