Chabad of San Diego County Centers are joining a joint effort to bring Jewish communal giving into the 21st century and raise $1.14 Million collectively in just 1 day.
Chabad of San Diego County, has fostered Jewish awareness and pride since 1976 in an ever growing arc of infrastructure and innovative programming. Chabad of S. Diego County signed on to this, innovative online fundraising initiative with the goal of raising $1.14M for its various branches and in support of its flagship institution, the Chabad Hebrew Academy. It is a 24 hour challenge, starting 12pm PST on Wednesday, September 9th, 2015.
“We are grateful to be able to affect countless lives for the better on a daily basis. This is living Judaism in the 21st century!” says Rabbi Yonah Fradkin, Regional Director of Chabad of San Diego County.
According to Rabbi Fradkin, “The MillionforChabadSD Campaign is an ambitious event that will unite Jews across the San Diego area. Crowdfunding days give thousands of people who think about giving, an exciting, united event that shows us in real time how important our support is, and gives us an easy way to do it. Thousands of Jews will benefit, and MillionforChabadSD will provide these organizations with an efficient way to raise tremendous funds that they can dedicate to helping our community.”
Each of the seven organizations participating will aim to raise anywhere from $30,000 to $770,000 in just 24 hours.
All donations on the day of the event will be QUADRUPLED thanks to generous matching support secured by each organization in advance
However, if the individual organizations do not meet their online goals within 24 hours, NONE of their pledges are processed or collected.

My nephews go there. It is a very strong community day school on par with the best private schools out there.
