Hotel del Coronado, also known as “The Del”, is an internationally renowned landmark beachfront luxury hotel in the city of Coronado, just across the San Diego Bay in California.
One of the few surviving examples of an American architectural genre – the wooden Victorian beach resort – the National Historical Landmark has hosted presidents, royalty, and celebrities, and has been featured in numerous movies and books.
This year, the famed hotel achieved an entirely new status, having just held Rosh Hashana services for several hundred Jews in its renowned grand ballroom.
Under the impassioned leadership of shluchim Rabbi Eli and Zeldi Fradkin of Chabad of Coronado, the famous hotel and ballroom served as the “shul” for Rosh Hashana 5774 creating a whole new historic benchmark for the hotel and the Jewish community of Coronado, San Diego.
The exquisite sea views from the west facing ball room windows were only surpassed by the inspiring and meaningful services led by Rabbi Eli Fradkin, Baal Teffilah Rabbi Yehuda Hajaj and guest international speaker, Kivi Bernhard.
It was an amazing effort and highly successful program of the growing Chabad House and served to set the stage for what will surely be an incredible year of growth and expansion for the Jews of Coronado.
The Shofar was amazing and was heard throughout the Hotel…
