Mirit Leah Golani, a member of the Crown Heights community for 10 years, passed away Monday, 5 Tishrei, 5774, after a tragic car accident in Virginia.
She was 40 years old.
Mirit Leah was a convert to Judaism, learning at Chabad of Brooklyn Heights.
While studying in Machon Chana in Crown Heights, she became friendly with many families in the neighborhood. Recently she moved to Virginia, where she became involved with Chabad of West Virginia.
She is survived by her two children.
The levaya will take place Tuesday, passing by 770 at 12:00 pm.

You were the best person I ever knew. I loved you more then anything in the world. I hope your passing was peaceful. I will try my hardest to find the kids and watch over them. I love you so much. I will miss you forever.

don’t connect them to make bad messages. when one person dies, it’s a tragedy. they need to be mourned. and that person need not and should not be connected to any other tragedy. every one is a world.

Didn’t know Mary personally but I heard she was a wonderful person inside and out. God had a plan for Mary she is now on her new journey. May your soul rest in peace…

Why are all of these things happening during Rosh Hashanah,, it is so sad so young and full of life.now the kids have to be raised without a mother.
so, so sad! she really has no family, to count on. yes, her children are both young. girl is 12 and boy is 10! i know toby halon was very close to her. find out from her, how you can help with the children. maybe start a fund in her name, to raise money for them. b’d’h. we miss you, meritte already, so much! always there to help a lending hand, always laughing and smiling!
Certain things are just out of our control especially random occurrences.

As I remember last year on the onset of the year, many tragic events unfolded,,
throughout the year as followed pursuit. I fear this year of 5774,,,
we pray and hope for all good things,, keep the faith and hold on tight for this year

Her kids must be so young, and with no Jewish relatives to raise them in the ways of Torah and Mitzvos. This is all so sad. May Hashem comfort them among all the morners of Tzion and Yerushalayim
