The 11th-grade girls of Rohr Bais Chaya Academy in Coral Springs, Florida, embarked this week on a deeply meaningful Nesiah L’Rebbe trip—an experience filled with spiritual growth, learning, and connection.
Preparation for the Journey
Leading up to the trip, the girls engaged in a comprehensive hachana, strengthening their commitment through hachlotos in various areas. They also studied the significance of visiting the Rebbe and 770, immersing themselves in excerpts from sichos and ma’amarim that explore hiskashrus, the importance of davening at the Ohel, and seeking guidance from the Rebbe.
Upon arrival in New York, the group began with a moving visit to the Rebbe’s room and 770, where they were able to connect firsthand with the teachings of Beis Rabbeinu. Many described this moment as a highlight of the trip, feeling the Rebbe’s presence in a personal and profound way. Next, the girls explored the archives of Jewish Educational Media (JEM), where they learned about the monumental efforts to preserve the Rebbe’s legacy. Using innovative AI tools, they explored historic footage and images, deepening their appreciation for the Rebbe’s lasting impact. At the Crown Heights Matzah Bakery, the girls witnessed the fast-paced and meticulous process of matzah production, gaining insight into the dedication and precision required to uphold this sacred tradition.
The visit to the Rebbe’s home was made even more special by the presence of Rabbi Krinsky, who shared the history and significance of this landmark. The group then visited the Mitzvah Tank, where they heard inspiring stories about the daily Mivtzoim that spread light and positivity across the world. That evening, the girls participated in an uplifting farbrengen with Mrs. Gitty Rapaport, who shared her personal journey to Chassidus, inspiring them to cultivate a deeper and more personal connection to the Rebbe’s teachings. The next morning, the trip culminated with a visit to the Ohel, where Mrs. Chani Zalmanov shared personal accounts of receiving brachos from the Rebbe through davening at the Ohel. The girls took this opportunity to reflect, daven, and strengthen their bond with the Rebbe’s guidance.
Before heading home, the girls enjoyed a well-deserved break at the American Dream Mall, where they played laser tag and indulged in delicious pizza and ice cream. This fun-filled finale served as the perfect balance to an unforgettable and transformative journey.
More than just a trip, this experience empowered the girls with renewed enthusiasm and devotion to the Rebbe’s teachings. They returned home not only spiritually uplifted but also equipped with the inspiration and tools to integrate what they learned into their daily lives—ensuring that their connection to the Rebbe continues to guide them for years to come.
