A Hollywood-style red carpet was rolled out on Friday outside the home of R’ Dovid Ghods as he returned to his home in Los Angeles following his recovery from Covid-19.
Ghods, who married Simi (nee Raichik) less than a year ago, walked out of a minivan to be greeted by family and neighbors with cheers, honks and balloons. One sign hung on a porch read “Thank you Hashem.”
“No better way to celebrate Pesach Sheini celebrating our second chance!” the couple wrote in a message alluding to the day Dovid returned home, the 14th of Iyar which is Pesach Sheini.
“There are no words to adequately thank each and every one of you for the love and support you have shown us these past 48 days while Dovid was in the hospital,” it read. “Hashem should repay each of you with an abundance of health, nachas and happiness for all your loved ones with the coming of Moshiach now!”
While Dovid was discharged and was able to walk on both feet, they said that they are praying for a complete recovery.
“We are completely certain that very soon, with all our continued tefillos and tehillim, all (of) Dovid’s nerves and muscles will be working again and stronger than ever before.”
